THE EQUIPMENT
Everyone asks what kind of camera and film I use, and of course I
politely answer thier questions, but the bottom line is that the
equipment is irrelevant except for its role in the capture of the image
my mind sees.
I've taken professional images with everything from a hand held Kodak
Brownie (using modern film stock reloaded onto old 620 size spools) to
hours
long shots using a computer driven
1,500mm APO.
Technically they could not be farther apart, but artistically, they are
both equally powerful tools for self-expression!
There is also much wisdom to the famous "f/16 and be there"
advice. Gear you truly understand and a willingness to get up
early are all you really need!
For those still curious, most
shots in my portfolio were taken with Calumet 4x5, Mamiya RB/RZ, Fuji
GSW,
Olympus OM, and Canon
FD / EOS equipment.
Favorite films are Fuji Velvia and AGFA
APX-25. For digital, I shoot RAW and post process on a Mac.
